CONTEMPORARY BAND

The contemporary band provides music at the 10:00 worship service once a month.

Practices are Wednesday at 7 pm (7:30) during Advent and Lent). We welcome anyone who enjoys singing, playing guitar, bass, drums, or keys.

ALTAR GUILD

A group of men & women whose primary  mission is to prepare and maintain our sanctuary for use by God's Family.

They prepare for regular services and special times of the year such as Lent, Easter, Baptisms, Advent, and Christmas. Serving on the Altar Guild includes:
 
  • Care for the altar and its furnishings and linens.
  • Preparing for communion at each service.

WORSHIP TEAM

It takes a team of people to help during services.  They assist in creating and maintaining a worshipful atmosphere during services.  We encourage people of all ages to share their talents.  Training is provided if needed

Types of roles are Elders, Ushers, Greeters, Money Counters, PowerPoint Assistants, Readers, Livestream Techs, and Snack Counter Hosts.

MEN OF BETHANY

The Men of Bethany meet weekly for fellowship and Bible Study. They support the mission of Bethany and carry it out in their actions with multiple service projects such as a bread/egg distribution, Easter breakfast, and chili cook-off.

QUILTING GROUP

The Bethany Quilters create quilts for our community (ie, Harbor House Domestic Abuse Shelter, Red Cross, and  Salvation Army).

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.  We have blessed hundreds of people with our quilts.

All are welcome, quilting experience is not necessary.

PRAYER SHAWL

The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice that embodies our thoughts and prayers for the receiver. Made in prayer, as prayer, for prayer, the shawls are passed on hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.
 
  • Experienced and new knitters/ crocheters alike are welcome to join as we make shawls.
