Nov 2011- More work is done on Hendricks St entrance. Paint, floor, new wall and handrail installed.

6/23/11 The Hendricks St entrance doors were installed.
6/12/11 The voter’s meeting last Sunday approved to purchase the property adjacent to the church with a maximum price set for purchase, and finance the purchase through a loan from an external financial institution. The assembly also voted for the congregation to pursue obtaining a site engineer, once the purchase of the property was secured. 6/5/11 Special Voter’s Meeting, today, June 5, after the late service to vote on the purchasing of property on Ninth Street. 5/29/11 We have reached our goal for the purchase and installation of the new church sign. The digging has begun. Thank you to everyone who contributed over the years to this fund and we hope to have the sign in place within a month or two.
The doors of the Hendricks entry should be replaced within a couple weeks; roofing work will begin sometime in July; order has been placed for the additional windows in the sanctuary & entry way. The properties committee & council are still working on what other projects we may wish to do at this time and will keep you updated as decisions are made.
5/22/11 There will be a Special Voter’s Meeting on June 5, after the late service to vote on the purchasing of property on Ninth Street.
5/15/11 Shingles have been ordered. We hope roof work may be started early to mid-June. The youth room windows are in the process of getting replaced. We will keep informed on decisions being made about doors/windows for the Sanctuary and the Hendricks Street entrance. Thank you for your patience while the Hendricks St entrance is closed. We hope to have it open again soon.
5/8/11 Roofing & window replacement proposals have been received. A full report can be found on the bulletin board.

· We have been working diligently on getting the repairs underway, it may seem like a slow process but we want to be thorough and make sure insurance covers the repairs and / or replaces all the damaged items in accordance with our insurance policy.
· We have received proposals for repairs for several of items to date, including the roofing contractor, replacement costs for Hendricks Street entry and the damaged windows in the Youth Room.
· We met with the insurance adjuster on April 25, 2011 and received verbal commitment for Omni Glass to get the Hendricks Street entry and Youth Room windows on order. We are waiting for an initial check from the insurance company to place the repair order for the roofing.
· As of Monday 4/25, we are on each respective contractor schedules. Due to materials needing to be ordered and delivered, we expect repairs to begin sometime in mid May.
· We are waiting for additional pricing on the window repairs and / or replacement costs, painting and light fixture items. As we move forward we will be sharing additional information with you. If you should have any questions please do not hesitate to ask, we will share with you what we know.
· In addition the members of the Church Properties Committee would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to all the members of the congregation and community that helped with the cleanup efforts. They were truly appreciated.
· As part of the cleanup effort we have assembled a list of those who helped in the cleanup effort. To ensure that we have all members listed we would appreciate it if you could sign the sheet on the Fellowship Counter with your name and approximate number of hours you volunteered your time.
